My name is Md Sumon Hossain, an assistant professor in the Department of Mathematics at North South University (NSU). There, I am working on projects involving scientific machine learning, numerical linear algebra, model order reduction and optimization. I obtained my doctoral degree from the Department of Mathematics at the University of Groningen, The Netherlands. while I work as a doctoral researcher in the Bernouli Institute in Systems and Control Theory group. As an educator, my mission is to inspire and empower the next generation of mathematicians. I believe in fostering a dynamic learning environment where students are encouraged to think critically, problem-solve creatively, and embrace the beauty of mathematical concepts. Through engaging lectures, interactive discussions, and hands-on activities, I strive to instill in my students a deep appreciation for the elegance and significance of mathematics in our world. Beyond the classroom, I am actively involved in collaborative research projects, publications, and academic conferences, contributing to the advancement of mathematical knowledge on both local and global scales.
